9 July 2013 – After the large-scale bulk carrier “DONG.A EOS” was steered into Jianghai Terminal of Nantong Port, the port has received 100 vessels of 150,000 tonnage or above this year. Nantong Port receives large-scale vessels more often than last year. In 2012, Nantong Port was only able to receive up to 100 vessels of 150,000 tonnage or above in August. However, this number of received vessels was reached in July this year, which means the frequency of vessels passing in and out the Nantong Port is getting higher. Up to the present, there were totally 1,138 vessels berthing at Nantong Port, which is the highest number of large-scale vessels received among the ports along Yangtze River.
