2 July 2018 – This is the 12th consecutive year for PYI to sponsor 30 outstanding secondary school students from Nantong to Hong Kong for a 6-day study tour. The students were arranged to visit the Legislative Council Complex in the trip, which gave them an insight of the overall design of the LegCo Complex which aims to project the independent and special status of the Legislature and its transparent and dignified image. The Memory Lane which provides information related to the historical development of the Legislature. Besides, they visited the prestigious University of Hong Kong. The students also toured Hong Kong Museum of History, Hong Kong Space Museum, Hong Kong Science Museum and The Central & Western Heritage Trail, to pursue their interest in history, astronomy, science and Hong Kong culture. They have also visited Hong Kong Wetland Park, Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark and Hong Kong Ocean Park, which would enhance them to appreciate and care for the natural ecology, in order to promote awareness of conservation.
