4 July 2013 – This is the seventh consecutive year for PYI to sponsor 30 outstanding secondary school students from Nantong to Hong Kong for a 6-day study tour.

The students were arranged to visit the headquarters of PYI, the Legislative Council and the HKMA Information Centre in the trip, in which they could have a brief understanding of the structure of the society and a taste of the commercial operations of Hong Kong. Besides, the delegation also visited The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the University of Science and Technology and the University of Hong Kong to know more about the education system of Hong Kong.

The Study Tour of Nantong Outstanding Students has been held for many years and more activities were organized this year. Though Hong Kong has long been laying stress on economic development, more emphasis was put on the environment protection in recent years. Thus, the visit of Hong Kong Global Geopark and Hong Kong Wet Land Park were newly arranged in order to introduce a new image of Hong Kong to the students.
