19 August 2010 – The design for constructing the Lanshayang North navigational channel (Phase 1) at Yangkou Port of Nantong was approved, and it is representing the project has entered the construction phase.

Mao Zhengping, the Deputy Commissioner of Nantong Port Authority mentioned the preliminary construction of North navigational channel in Yangkou Port was conducting smoothly. The channel is expected to be completed and will commerce operations by the end of the year, and will be ready for the arrival of the first 80,000 cubic meters LNG carrier of PetroChina before the end of January 2011.
